PHIL KLEIN

Phil is a former Major League pitcher with the Texas Rangers and Philadelphia
Phillies. He was selected by the Texas Rangers in the 30 th round of the 2011 draft.
During his 7 years professional career, Phil threw 435 innings for the Rangers,
Phillies and Baystars. Accumulating a 27-11 record, 2.75 ERA, .182 BAA, and over
480 strikeouts.

Phil worked his way up through the minor leagues and first got to the Big Leagues
with the Rangers at the end of the 2014 season. He then split time between AAA
and the big leagues in 2015 and 2016. In 2017, Phil signed with the Yokohama
Baystars of Japan’s NPB League where he worked as a starting pitcher.
He is very keen on working with pitchers to have sound mechanics, understanding
not everyone will throw the same way. Phil will want to help you set attainable
goals that will push you to perform your best. Most importantly he understands
the mental aspects of the game and how challenging those can be to overcome.
Phil was born and raised in Columbus, OH. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from
Youngstown State University in 2011 with a degree in finance. Phil and his wife
currently live in the Prosper area.
