Ricardo has been coaching competitive fast-pitch softball for over 15 years . He has been a part of the Texas Elite Fastpitch Organization for 10 years now, and while doing so has assisted many players reach their goal to play collegiate softball from DI, DII , DIII and Jr. College.
Coach Cantu teaches hitting/pitching to all age groups including college bound seniors. Coach Cantu wishes the best for every player he coaches and pushes them to compete at the highest level of competition. He looks forward to bringing his passion and knowledge for the game of Fastpitch Softball to Collin County Baseball Academy.
    Ricardo Cantu and his wife Debra have two daughters Alexis and Ashley. His daughter, Alexis Cantu, attended Creighton University as a Pitcher/Power Hitter and received numerous  accolades during her years at Creighton, including Missouri Valley 
Newcomer of the Year, 2014 All-Big East First Team honor as a pitcher/utility player and Big East All-Tournament team. Alexis is now a 
Division I pitching coach at  Creighton University and his younger daughter Ashley will also be attending Creighton University this 2016 Fall.
